XP3 Automation

XP3 Automation’s DTS tasks are a set of graphical tools and programmable objects that let you load, transform, and consolidate data from disparate sources into single or multiple destinations.

DTS is part of SQL Server 2000. DTS is also included in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) which is part of SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008.

Automate the complete process, starting with downloading extracts from an ftp site to generating multiple presentations that are distributed to end users.

Include tasks to perform data validations

  • Match UPCs against a master meta data file to catch any discrepancies
  • Report back new products found in the data extracts
  • Detailed report on how many geographies, products, time periods were loaded
  • Roll off unwanted historical data by using dynamic parameters.
  • Append new time periods as well as perform data updates based on geographies or products.
  • Report any errors occurred during the update process along with detailed logs.
  • Report back number of rows loaded
  • Automated to run at scheduled times

Flexible Data Automation via Integration with Microsoft Data Transformation Services

Users have requested an easy way to automate their database update processes. XP3 now makes its tasks available as part of Microsoft Data Transformation Services (DTS). Users can automate any data functionality within this widely used Microsoft framework.

  • Users can automate all XP3 Data Workshop and XP3 Data Integrator processes and automate the creation and distribution of multiple, distinct PowerPoint presentations and Excel reports  based on user-defined criteria.
  • Users can use XP3 Tasks along with all native DTS functionality, which provides maximum flexibility.
