XP3 DATA MANAGEMENT

Interactive Edge will work with the customer’s team to understand the specific requirements and expectations from an XP3 implementation, specifically the expected business benefits, the scope of the proposed solution and the resources and skill sets required for the project, as well as the customer’s IT infrastructure, hardware and software requirements. The final deliverable will be a scope document detailing the anticipated business benefits, the IE and customers team members’ roles and responsibilities, acceptance test plan, a high level description of the final deliverable, a timeline and a budget.

To develop a detailed scope document IE works with the customers’ team to develop a deep understanding of their data. Exploration includes discussions of the following topics:

  • Data sources to be integrated
  • Nature of the data sources
  • Physical data format per data source
  • Business entities (dimensions) captured by the data
  • Lowest granularity per business entity
  • Additional higher level attributes per business
  • Metrics captured by the data source
  • Type of integration per data source
  • List each group of data sources whose metrics/dimensions are to be integrated into a single data mart
  • Identify the common dimensions between each data source within an integration group; identify the common granularity level at which to join the dimension
  • Frequency of data update per data source
  • Expected data volume per data source
