This new version includes full support for SQL Server Integration Services 2008 (SSIS) and Windows Server 2008. Support for SQL Server Integration Services 2005 is preserved and the new version of DataDefractor is backward compatible with previously created DataDefractor SSIS 2005 projects. The new version is shipped as a single installation package, which automatically recognizes the SSIS edition deployed to the target system and installs the appropriate binaries. SSIS 2005 / 2008 side-by-side installation is also supported.
DataDefractor is a visual data mapping and processing tool designed to automate the transformation of complex Excel and CSV spreadsheets into structured data delivered in a form suitable for loading into any data visualization application, data warehouse, OLAP cube or any Business Intelligence system.
DataDefractor SSIS is tightly integrated with Microsofts SQL Server Integration Services to deliver high performance Excel/CSV unstructured spreadsheet processing through a custom SSIS data flow source. DataDefractor Solo is a standalone edition of the product which processes unstructured spreadsheets into structured flat CSV files ready to be loaded into any standard analytical system.
